Below are the key terms to understand while you access our REALFIT library. Search by any of the following to find the test most appropriate for your goals.
We maintain a comprehensive set of fitness tests, sourced from professional sports combines, military, first responders and more. We continue to add tests regularly and some tests require proprietary equipment, which are clearly noted.
Our library includes many well-known tests, including:
For each test, we provide a definition, purpose, measurement procedures and the most common usage. Since many of the tests measure multiple fitness categories, the proprietary realFIT approach allows category weights to be assigned to every individual test.
For every individual test, realFIT offers the choice of performance standard for the basis of comparison. Many tests have multiple performance standards. For example, for the Maximum Pull Ups test, you can select from these performance standards:
Each standard may have different minimum and maximum performance levels and even different scales entirely. For the Marines, you get 5 points per pull up and a max of 100 points. On the realFIT absolute scale, a world record is the top level. The realFIT methodology allows you to select the performance measure appropriate to your own goals.
We continually update these standards tables to ensure our performance data is the most accurate possible.
A score set is a collection of individual tests which comprise a unique fitness score. Different score sets have different objectives. Our flagship score set is the realFIT Absolute score, which consists of 13 tests across all fitness categories. Our library also includes common miltary tests, custom score sets developed by realFIT Certified Partners and those for branded events. Some of these score sets include:
We also develop proprietary score sets for customers on request.
